Dietzia is a genus of Gram‑positive bacteria in the family Dietziaceae. These bacteria show up in a wide range of environments — soil, water, animals, and even humans.
According to some research*, Dietzia may act as a balancing agent within the gut microbiome by "outcompeting" non-beneficial bacteria for iron and other resources, thereby limiting the proliferation of detrimental bacteria.
